Owls are undoubtedly one of the most mysterious species of birds. When I lived in a house surrounded by old trees I used to see whole owl families sitting on branches close to my window. I could admire their wise, amber eyes and beautifully coloured feathers.
Owls are also a charming motif present more and more often in jewelry and perfectly matching the autumn mood. This is why this bird species was my inspiration while working on this project.
The necklace is a bunch of surprises. The combination of violet and brown reminds me of one of my favourite sweets - plums in chocolate. The unusual form of the necklace is the reflection of my client's wishes concerning this necklace - three strands of chains and gemstone rounds joins the subtle coiling of the owl pendant and a thick, hammered and texturised link. The whole piece was made in sterling and fine silver, oxidised and then polished. Stones used in the necklace are amethyst, smoky quartz and garnet, which perfectly combines the two main colours in its shade.
